n114417648593009_536Join us for a FREE multi-media Breakwater exhibit at the local Shelter Surf Shop. This night will provide a social forum for breakwater advocates, many of whom will be honored for their work improving the region’s water quality. This event will kick off the month of May’s events recognizing Breakwater Awareness Month.

The event, titled “Big Thursday”, is part of Councilmember Patrick O’Donnell’s Breakwater Awareness Month (BAM). “Big Thursday” will feature an historical photo exhibit, screenings of two surfing and Breakwater documentaries (”Accidental Icon: The Real Gidget Story” directed by Brian Gillogly and “Mother Wants Her Beauty Back” directed by Grant Eads) and a “Hang Ten” awards presentation honoring local activists.
